Meet Lori Anderson
This is my 26th year in education. For the past 2 years, I was the Early Literacy Licensing Specialist for the state. A big part of my role with this was to support the universities with incorporating the science of reading into their courses, ensuring their preservice teachers could pass the FORT. Additionally, I have trained hundreds of teachers, coaches and administration as a National LETRS trainer. I now am an adjunct professor for literacy at UVU. Prior to these positions, I served as a literacy coach for teachers for 10 years. One of my career highlights was the opportunity to help teachers learn how to incorporate the science of reading into practice, applying their knowledge from their LETRS training; ensuring they know how to help all of their future students learn how to read.
